Optimizing logistics with a smart bridge solution

In 2008, Hegron Cosmetics needed more storage space as they expanded. Their solution? A new warehouse next to their existing building. But a road between the two posed a challenge for transport.

Instead of relying on constant truck traffic, Hegron chose a more efficient way forward, an automated conveyor system on a steel bridge. To help streamline their logistics, Q-System designed and delivered a fully automated pallet transport system.

The system starts at the production area, where pallets are manually loaded onto the conveyor. From there, they are automatically wrapped, labeled, and lifted five meters up by a Q-lift. A 63-meter-long roller conveyor then transports them safely over the road to the new warehouse. On the other side, another Q-lift lowers the pallets to floor level, ready for storage or shipping.

Efficiency, accuracy, and a better work environment

By eliminating the need for trucks to move pallets between buildings, the system has not only reduced traffic but also improved indoor air quality by cutting down dust and emissions. It has also minimized manual pallet handling, making the workflow smoother and more efficient.

To keep everything running seamlessly, the system is fully integrated with Hegron Cosmetics' ERP system, allowing real-time tracking of every pallet. With this solution, Hegron Cosmetics gained a more efficient, reliable, and sustainable way to manage their logistics—turning a space challenge into a streamlined operation.
